Can bad rail relief valve cause rough idle?
i read in another forum that a guy had rough idle in his 04 i believe. some one mentioned rail relief and that once you hit or blow off at or over 235000 psi the relief valve is shot. he said its a one time use or one time blow off
sometimes they blow once and they are done. Others re-seat and just get weaker each time. If the relief valve is bad enough to cause a rough idle, it usually will continue to run rough all the way thru the rpm's. Not too mention it would be hard to start.
Rough idles are usually a sign of worn injectors also.
