Ok im startin my bulid up Tonight and have some questions and will have more along the way.
1st what size dowl rods do you use to hold up the lifters? I know on C model its 1/2" is it the same?

 

i use 1/2 '' and then shave just a little in the ends where it goes in the lifter. also cut a slit in the bottom of the dowel.

 

Anything eles to look for ar watch??

 

be careful with the journals pulling cam out and putting new one in. lube the crap out of the new one with assemly lube before installing. theres a crossmember that will have to be cut in order to clear the cam gear. either that or lift the motor up enough to clear it. make sure timing marks are lined up correctly when reinstalling. 00 to 0 from crank to cam. injection pump gear dosnt matter on a third gen. break in is 15 min @ 1500 rpms. you will enjoy the helix 2. one of the best mods i did to my truck.
