Bullydog and my '03...Advice Please...

Well I dont know much about these 3rd gen trucks, and I now have a 03 HO. I Tried my friends Tripple Dog the other day and It really didnt do much, barely any smoke and just a very slight increase in performance, even on Extreme. He was telling me if I go get the truck reflashed it will make power with this box. Is this something I need to do? Im curious because Im looking very hard at getting the Bullydog PMT and definatley want it to run a little better than the Tripple Dog did. Thanks for any help!

Smarty all the way, no questions asked. The Diablo Predator is also a nice programmer for the money, but Smarty just flat out rocks!

My 03 runs great with my smarty and it is a SO. I made the mistake of buying a quadzilla as my first choice. I could tell a difference in the power gain, but the difference between it and the smarty was night and day. Save up and buy a smarty- you won't be dissapointed.

I had the exact opposite result. Triple Dog did great on my truck. Smarty did not agree with it at all.

That is odd. You are the only person I have heard say this. My truck straight hated the Bullydog.

Not saying it isn't true.

Try PMing Bud Kunz. He has been on lately, you may be able to reach him and find out for sure.

Really, what tune? My 03 was stronger w/ Banks 6gun than it was w/ BDDL.

Yeah the 03 and 04's do not respond as well to the BDTD I would be willing to bet your buddy's 04 is actually a 04.5 thats when they make some good power gains. Im no Smarty fan but it and the TST make the best power on the 03 to 04 trucks.

Was this results from stacking with the TST though? Or pre TST?
