i put a power pup on me 05. anybody had any experiance with the extreme mod on this box just driving around and not towing anything. can i break something or can the truck take it. any suggestions on what i should or should not do with this box. i like the 90 horses but would like to try the extreme, but dont want to tear my truck up.

if no gages i wouldnt run in extreme. Dont know about how well the auto will hold up for everyday use in performance, i've got a manual with upgraded dual disk clutch and run mine in performance all the time.

I have a power pup on my '03.
I have it set on performance mode. I tried the extreme setting, had it there for about 3 minutes. Jump on it, smoked like an old coal burning locomotive(cool), and shuddered the torque convertor so bad I turned around, went home, and set it back to performance. I was awesome, but not for a stock trans. Oh, if you try it, make sure you go back to stock before changing your program, if you don't it will lock up and you will have to "recover" the ecm.

If your like me you won't pay any attention to the gauges anyway so crank it up and have fun (until the auto dies). By the time your truck gets close enought to melt down you'll be moving so fast you'll have bigger worries than the egt's. I wouldn't tow on extreme unless you have gauges, but with the stock auto your not going to be able to anyway.

I have been thinking about a edge ez to stack on a triple dog. If I run the bddl on tow and the ez on 1 or 2 will it be too much. I drive normally, just want alittle more off the bottom.

i run quad and bully dog both wide open, it will toast a clutch though.

I never quite understood this. If you break it now (void warranty) you're going to pay for it out of your pocket. But if you wait until the warranty is up and break it your still going to pay so what's the difference?

Extreme (130hp) is not that big of a deal. The Bully Dog product is one of the -safer- products for the stock turbo as it will not allow higher than stock boost levels. Temps can be high depending on your driving style. Gauges are a necessity!! Just do it and get it over with. It will be interesting to see what is going on with your motor if nothing else. There are some good products avail.

Crazy Larry is a much more agressive program and things can be really hurt. Beyond this, a stack with the TST will be sure to grenade anything that is not modified to accepct these power levels. I will guarantee this.

Has anyone tried running CL with the TST at anything above zero?? This is a real killer. Wow.

Chris

If that is the case, you mus have other issues that are not allowing the program to do its job. I know that there is a significant diference in mine.
