Bully dog or Edge???????????

I have read alot on both of these products and have also used the search feature alot trying to make a decision. I would like to hear directly from people who use these products about the good and the bad. My wife is getting me one of these two for christmas and i cant decide on which one to tell her. I narrowed it down to these two which seem to be the best for my situation. I also havent read too much on if they work with the HO. and if you can still obtain the same power gains. I want the one that is going to be the safest and most reliable. I dont want to risk any damage to my motor. I have a straight 4" pipe and am also getting an intake. I do some moderate towing with my truck and am planning on keeping my stock clutch as long as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any recomendations on an intake would be very appreciated aswell.

Edge all the way, and If you're wondering..........I used to run them both stacked till I got the Diablo Predator. So I know them both very well. Hence the reason it's for sale in the classifieds.

PM me if you want it. All you'd need is the outlook monitor and you'd be set with all the safety features as the edge.

Bully Dog will make the most power, and is cheaper. Edge, obviously has the package deal. No, I take that back, just get the Bully Dog Triple Dog with the Outlook Monitor. I think it's still cheaper than the Edge. I assume your talking about the Edge Juice, and the Triple Dog.

i have run both, curently running edge w/attitude and prefer it. stay away from downloaders if you can i was nervous everytime i changed settings and after reading other horor stories my last download back to stock was on my dealers lot. i will say my power pup was nice for power but, i prefer the adjustability of the edge. as they say, my .02.

TIME OUT! wasnt there something I heard about the triple dog isnt any good on the 03's b/c u cant download crazy larry or am I making it up. If u want the most power definately go with bully dog or SMARTY! I have the bddl w/larry but I still want the SMARTY . The only problem that I dont like on the bddl is how high u can over rev it. I dont think the edge does this. but I do like the SMARTY except the fact that u cannot change on the fly.

35" 05' you are correct, there is no crazy larry program for 03/05 305/555 trucks. Extreme is still 130 hp though I think.

Ditto, Same here and love it.. I actually wish I had a better converter and VB to help handle all the power it is capable of.. Also the built in safety features are very nice as well.

I have a similair truck to yours (mine is a dually though). I have the edge with attitude and love it. i will tell you that if you plan on racing (hard launches) on level 4 or 5 very much your clutch won't last long. The pilot and throw out bearings will start getting noisy form the abuse. Also you will need a pusher pump (glacier diesel sells a nice one) if you want ot use level 4 or 5 very much. Level 5 drops the fuel pressure down to 0.

Thank yall, this has been a great response. I am new to the site and am not used to people being so responsive. I will consider my options another week or so and make my decision.
Thanks, Adam
