I dont know what stall my converter is, but I do not notice that problem. Mine seems to have more low end now. But mine was slipping pretty bad for a while before the new one. I have a HTS (suncoast converter)

I have Dave's TC and full tranny and mine is the same way, tight! I am going to drive it for awhile and hopefully it will loosen up a bit.

Excuse if this is a stupid question, i've just never driven in a truck w/ an aftermarket tranny.

If the point of an aftermarket tranny / parts is to get the power to the ground, but the tightness of the converter neuters the low end...what are you really gaining? Durability for higher hp levels? Better Accelleration (seems odd if the low end is negatively impacted),...

It doesn't really hurt the low end. It just feels like it does because the turbo doesn't spool as fast. My bottom end is tons better with my DTT although at first it didn't seem that way.

yep. My DTT builder has a stop sign he loves to play with.....stop at the stop sign and then its uphill from there. Let your foot off the brake and the truck starts moving and will ease up the hill on its own!
