Built a headache rack

Well, i spent a couple days in the garage and when i was done, it was completed. i used 2" square tubing (1/8" wall) and 2"x1/8" flat stock. i went ahead and got it sprayed in line x, since it wasnt much more than painting it. I put in 2 trapezoid beam halogen lights and im gonna hook em up on a relay so they come on in in reverse or with a switch (havent had a chance yet). also, i put a tab on the top so i could mount my CB antenna where i can fold it down when i need the clearance.

anyway....thought id see what y'all think. i havent set up a gallery yet, so here's a link.

That looks good. I may do the same thing one day.

thanks man. not counting the lights or paint, it cost me less than $50 to build. the only thing that was tough was keeping it all plummed and squared, but other than that, not much to it (coming from an amateur welder).

That's what I want! How's it hooked to the bed?

i just bolted through the toolbox, through the base of the headache rack (which is 1/4"x2"x2" angle iron), and through the top of the bed. i figured the angle iron would also help prevent the bed from cracking from the weight of the toolbox as the years go on (my old ford developed "toolbox cracks" after it got some age on it)

Looks good. Did you think of connecting it somehow to the framerails? Would make it more stout and maybe give a little rollover protection...Just a thought.
