My buddy just bought an '03 6 speed & it needs a new clutch. For daily driving & occasional towing, what would be the best clutch? It is straightpiped w/ an Edge EZ. He's not looking for a drag clutch but wants one that will last w/ about 100 HP or a little more over factory for A LONG TIME. TIA

 

If he wants a good daily driver with some (not alot) of closed course racing, I would opt for the SouthBend Con OFE for its good all around driveability and smooth engagement. If he is going to be wanting to get into alot of racing and beating up on the clutch a DD 3250 or Con FE will get the job done.

 

I think the SBC Con OFE is what were thinking he needs. I think it will fit the bill perfectly. Where do ya'll suggest the cheapest place to get one & how much are they going for? He grew up around his dad's tranny shop so he can do the labor himself. TIA
