Brand new SB 3600 slipping bad

Brand new SB 3600 slipping bad

I got my sb 3600 clutch put in about 2 months ago and i put about 800 miles on it and its slipping really bad still without the smarty or the tst on. Dont know what to do cause i called south bend a couple wweks after i had i put in and they said drive it for 300 miles and it should be good but its still slipping bad.

Thats what i think im going to do cause its getting really annoying cause i cant even run smarty on #1.

Did you resurface the flywheel and are you sure you have no leaks causing contamination?

So can you smell it burning?

How many clutch dumps, burnouts, or boosted launches have you done with the clutch?

Maybe the disks or FW were not cleaned properly?

Maybe a rear main leak, gettin oil on the disks?

!!!!! Make sure they installed the shifter forks in the Correct way and not upside down! Thats what happened to me and by some miracle it lasted me a year.

hijack: why do they send you a nice shiny aluminum spacer if you dont need it? Mine was all the way installed, and the neutral safety switch would not turn over no matter what, and the clutch engaged at the floorboard. It had to be completely removed to take out that spacer. Works fine now.

Do tell about what advice Peter gave you. A very solid reputation as a company, I have had a 3600 DD not work out for me and they sent a replacement.

Sorry guys for not getting back to yah. Peter said make sure the fork behind the slave cylinder is free so i guess there is suppose to be room between there.
