Boost Fooler
  Installed boost fooler and still not getting above 32psi. Also when I hit 32psi Iam having to back out of the throttle because egt's and still have about half the pedal left, what do I do?

What's your EGTs?

what is the condition of your air filter? a dirty filter will not allow air to flow and will increase your egts.
a clogging fuel filter will also not fuel well and that will reduce boost since spool is dependent on fuel burning generating exhaust gases. but, you probably did that. |
MIkeyb: I am backing out at 1350
Dodge: air filter has 3000 miles on it put on after gauges because I thought it was to hot... fuel filter just replaced two days ago to try to eliminate that one |
told you that you had already checked those.
have you checked intake piping for loose clamps, leaks, hoses, or that plastic intercooler on the front of your '05? |
What plastic thats a first for me? I will check everything else.
|
the earlier 05's had plastic crimped end tanks on them. they were trouble at first with blowing the cores. look at the crimps.

Bought my 05 in july of 05 so should be the later of the 05s checked to see if the end caps are plastic and they are not. I am lost building 30lbs of boost but no more and i am running the SC 3805 with the boost fooler. Why aint i getting more boost.
|
somethings going on...i get 39-40psi WOT from my sc and i dont have a boost fooler. is it possible your gauge or tubing is malfunctioning?

Uh , maybe the boost fooler is not working[dummy] . Don't take that the wrong way . For me , I will spend hours trying to solve a problem and the answer is usually something simple .

We are 4500 feet but towing into 10000 plus with 11k 5th wheel, but why cant I pull more boost?
|
I noticed you don't mention a aftermarket exhaust. I'm sure the stocker is good but if your getting high temps if your flowing through the cat and stock muffler that ain't gonna help much either. Try a straight through muffler, bet that will drop temps a lot
Also may be something wrong with the fooler. E-mail quad he is great at resolving issues. |
