Big Line Kit?

Considering getting Glacier's Big Line Kit, plus filtration.
Question: Does the stock line not provide enough fuel? or, will a bigger fuel line give any noticable performance difference, or simply make me feel better on the inside?

The last statement you made.

Filtration is a good thing though.

I make 900 hp on fuel alone on stock size lines. That should be all you need to know.

Thanks; kinda figured that.

So, humor me for a sec--what is the "theory" behind a bigger fuel line? Figure the injection pump is only going to take in a measured amount of fuel despite a larger fuel line...yes?

Fluid dynamics, not unlike electricity.

To obtain greater volume of fuel from the source, you have two choices:

1. increase pressure in the smaller line

2. increase the size of the line maintaining the lower pressure.

Yes, the cp3 is only going to be able to take a certain amount of fuel regardless. And it can handle a wide spectrum of input pressure (basically from zero to over 50 psi-- although neither extreme is recommended)

But when the cp3 is then modified to be able to take and deliver more fuel than stock, it gets to a point where the stock fuel pump cannot keep up. That is your first restriction, not the size of your fuel line.

Hhmm....so, it sounds almost like adding a big line kit COULD be more harmful (to the cp3) than beneficial...
