Anyone running a bhaf airfilter if so how do you like and how does it compare to others?
|
I believe there are already many threads about this. I tried that filter once. Turbo sound was pretty much gone and top speed decreased. I took it back. It is quite restrictive compared to other filters. It only flows like 600 CFM and it costs $70-$80. I’m happy with my $38 Spectra filter from AutoZone. Some guys here will advise against oiled filters, but just use them correctly and there’s not a problem. Don’t put too little oil on and not too much.

drolex what is the spectra filter?

i had the bhaf for awhile. turned out to be restrictive. I like my amsoil nano dry filter. there are many good choices out there to suit your particular needs.

I have been happy with my Napa Gold 2846. It flows 675 cfm according to Wix. How much does the EAA189 flow?

Here is a link to see what the spectre filter is. It has a 10 year / 100K mile warranty and flow like over 900 CFM. They come in different colors.

i have a BHAF with a homemade torque tube, similiar to this https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...highlight=BHAF
i found the turbo to be much louder. i have no power adders, but have seen little change. my fuel economy is up slightly but my truck is getting more broken in so i dont chalk it up to the filter. EGTS seem to be slightly lower at most. I got my filter for 40 bucks from fleetfilter.com and made my own mount for the filter. |
