Talking Beta program

How do i get one of the beta programs. Can i go back to stock programs after i use a beta? And I want one of the beta's for towing because i don't like the smoke when i tow my boat cause of the carpet, but which is best for maintaining great power but not alot of smoke. And keeping the mpg up there as well.

If you don't want smoke, don't use the Betas... they will smoke more.
More fuel = more smoke

You have to get them from Bob Wagner. You can go back to other programs after using the beta.

Smoke more!?!? Than the old published tunes? No way! My 4.4 smokes WAY less at low throttle input than ANY of the published tunes ever did. No idea about the TNT stuff now but the smoke output in normal driving was reduced big time. I had quit using my smarty on the published tunes in favor of my Bully Dog on Crazy Larry because I could control the smoke much better with my right foot. Then I tried beta 4.4 and haven't changed anything since...that was over 6 months ago.

Even in "normal" driving? The 4.4 will smoke like mad when you're raping it, but how does 4.11 compare in normal throttle driving? The old published tunes from 6+ months ago that I ran drove me nuts on my hand shaker truck...every time I got back on the throttle from a shift, no matter how little I was trying to accelerate, I was smoking out people behind me. 4.4 doesn't do that at all.

~~~~~~~~THIS IS A THREAD HI-JACK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, I hear all this about the BETA smoking. I hear that running any program on 9 will smoke. My truck, (-) the trans is virtually stock. I am running 4.4 on level 7 and it will roll for the first 2 seconds then cleans up fast. My truck never really smokes....do I have a fueling problem, is my turbo a freak or do I need more fuel? Even if I set the Quad on 3 Smarty on 7(4.4) it smokes for 1-2 seconds. I think I have a rail pressure problem (stumbling down low) so I guess I need a RPG.
~~~~~~~~~~~OK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BTW, Contact BOB WAGNER about the BETA programs. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE THE BETA OR TNT YOU HAVE TO GET IT FROM BOB!!!!

4.11 is the finished version of 4.4 i believe... less smoke and lower egts.. I just have lots of smoke if my turbo isnt spooled... once it lights the smoke is gone..

When talking about the Betas, I was referring to comparing them to the most current smarty program which is what Zack has... not the ooolllldddd stuff. And FWIW, 4.4 smokes less than 4.2 or 4.3... but still smokes more than 4.11.

I agree.. 4.11 is the least amount of smoke.. Leaving any of the Beta's and the pressure added just makes the throttle response so different. I tried to go back to 4.11 after trying Betas since February and it is so different(Niiiccce). I like the pressure...

I daily drive the Beta 4.4 on 3 and it has very little smoke.. More like a little haze if you step a little harder than normal. It will smoke for a second if your step on it hard.

I am looking forward to Revo to be able and try a little less pressure with more timing to see if MPG likes it.

Well, i am running a MP8 on my truck which I haven't run past 20% since going to the 4.4. Since I can increase my pressure independently with the MP8, I may try out the 4.11. Power wise, how is the 4.11 to the 4.4?

I wish I could answer what Tq management the Beta's are as I think that would help answer. On my truck the beta version are more powerful as they add pressure.
I have heard that the Beta's are Aftermarket Inj. which is less timing.
I think 4.4 may be mild Tq and 4.2 Mod. Tq? To many places to read about the Beta's to know for sure. I have asked to many times without any response and just stopped asking.

Are trucks are similar on the mods and power.. Smarty on 8 and TST- 3/0 was 523/934 with similar boost numbers. Temp was below 1350 as that is what the TST defuels at and it did not appear to get there.

I want to add Flux inj and CP3 before making any other Dyno runs..
Maybe cam and springs also...

Ok so my smarty with the stock sw9 that came with it is the best? I loaded the moderate torque management yesterday and it seems more powerful but barely got my 35's spinnin. Towing it smokes alot seems like it even does more than the stock sw9 level.

I'd say 4.11 is the best for lower smoke (and maybe mpg)....4.4 wont come off my truck as it's the best power i've seen to date....but more smoke than the standard tunes.
