Best way to get injectors out?

Is there a trick or easier way to get the injectors out of the head without buying the special removal tool?

I have heard that some people have simply pulled them out, but of all the ones that I did, I used a small pry bar and gently tapped on it with the tip under the lip by the solenoid.Put a rag on the edge where the valve cover sits on so there's no scarring.

I think I had to use a pry bar on one of mine, and it took very little pressure to make it pop out, the other 5 came out with just my hand and a rag.

The trick when using a pry bar is to pull the injector towards the bar while prying up.

Example. If the bar is on the injector at the 6 o'clock position, you'd put your hand at the 12 o'clock position and pull towards 6 o'clock while prying upwards. Very little force should be necessary.
