I would say no as propane is a gas and needs to mix in air so all cylinders gets same amount. Turbos are great mixers!

Yes mine does go down the intake tube and I have never smelled propane gas fumes in and around my hood area. you should have no propane injecting when idling and very little at 5lbs boost. it don't take much for it to work. Too much can cause detenation.

I've never tried propane and don't know if there is enough propane in the propane-air mix to explode but, if it is, it seems like the intake tube pre-turbo wouldn't be the safest place to inject it. You have a bunch of thin-wall tubes and a large intercooler pressurized with a propane-air mix. A blown endcap on the intercooler might be an amazing site with a setup like that. A turbo failure might also be quite a bit more interesting. Those are the kinds of failures you might run into more often when running propane and this setup could make it a lot more damaging if the mix is explosive enough. Just my two cents.

The amount used is a very lean propane/air mixture (below the LEL (lower explosive limit) and can not ignite on it's own. I am amazed sometimes at the scenerio's that people can imagine. These kinds of things just don't happen. Manufactured propane systems are very safe. They have to be.!!
Propane is fuel, just like # 2. Drugs can be catagorized as nitrous and methanol. Only time propane resembles "drugs" is when you run out your frantically looking for more!!
Propane fumigation is not intended to be used like nitrous.
As with anything, a little is good, more doesn't mean better or even necessarily more power.

gdh11,
It has to be introduced pre-turbo. Anywhere between the filter and the turbo, or about 6-8 inches from the turbo is best. You could install a fitting in the tube beyond the airbox if you prefer. The turbo does act as the mixer to be sure it is evenly distributed throughout. Put it after, and it would only hit one or two cylinders and you can see what would happen there.

You really should not be smelling propane. Is it coming from under the hood or do you smell it in the cab?? Also is it a burned propane smell or unburned propane smell??
The start time shouldn't be any lower than around 2 psi so there is no chance that it flows at idle. You want to have some boost pressure present to support the propane flow.

I talk with the folks over at powershot they say it is a very little amount of propane that is injected to the ratio of boost. Diesel is only burn up to 80% and propane allow it to be burn 100% which gives you that 20% more hp's.
So your not getting any propane injected if theres no Boost which powershot claim to be a very ssafe system and I use my full time to get that 25 mpgs at 50-55 mph cruising.

yep and propane will add 70 + hp's and keeps oil cleaner too!
Nothing like grilling out the tail pipe which people have told me they can smell the burned propane.
