Best Intercooler?

What's the best intercooler on the market? I am looking for an extruded tube design, not bar and plate like most. I just bought a BD which I thought to be a good choice, but it was damaged in shipping. I am sending it back and the people I got it from are giving me my money back. I do not plan on getting another one from BD because the quality seemed very poor to me. The welds were not uniform at all and the cast tanks on the end were very rough on the inside( I wiped my finger across the inside of the tank and when I pulled it out there were very small metal flakes on it). I am looking for an extruded tube design, not bar and plate like most. With BD out of the picture, the only other people that I know that make extruded tube intercoolers are City Diesel(cool twist) and Joe Hellman. What are your opinions?

To date there is no empirical evidence to suggest one product is more efficient than others regardless of build.

All of the major manufacturers out there have satisfied customers and they are all better than stock to be sure. That includes HTT, Banks, BD, Hellman, Spearco, cool twist and etc.

In my opinion, having seen and compared most on the list I just gave, I think the actual differences between them are not going to be that noticeable to the average person. I am not partial to the tube and fin style though.

It is the best design, and I think that the HTT is bar and plate. Correct me if I am wrong.

I got a Banks kit with the horn for $1.1K. Sold the stocker intercooler for $250 and the intake horn now for sale. Any taker? The Banks is huge compared to stock and it has a 3.5" pipes. It barely fits in the stock location.

I have not dynoed it since the Banks Intercooler was installed. Last year at May Madness without the Banks Intercooler it made 397 HP Smarty set @ SW #4. I'll be at May Madness again in May and will put it on the rooler once more but this time I'm hoping to have my ATS Aurora 3000 turbo and SB DD installed.
