I have been trying to find a survey on the net of which is the best cold air intake on the market. Any manufacture website you go to says that "theirs" is the best.

What have you used?

Was it worth the money?

Notice any real mileage improvements?


I have an afe stage 1 on my 2007 5.9. I just purchased a 2003 and I am looking to get one for it.

 

What about the s and B kits on ebay that comes with the intake elbow?

Anybody running one of those?

ANy body running the banks kit with the super scoop?

 

Search for the "Home Depot" kit. 10-15 bucks and all the cold air you want.

 

CAI's are notorious for disappointment. However they do add few faintly noticeable performance gains, and become a necessity at much higher HP. read up on the "*****'s Whistler" and decide for yourself, but I am sold on it being the best for the price.

 

I have been very happy with my S7B kit. got it for 269 off ebay.

 

Ditto on the www.psmdiesel.com/Home Depot setup. If you want the truck to whistle in your ear though,this is not the one. It provides cool,quiet filtration only.

 

danderson has the best suguestion. couple that with the new high efficiency mopar filter and you have the best. if you kept the old filter housing for the 07 you can gain some by junking the afe and doing the same with it.
