The Beast Has Been Dynoed!

I dynoed my truck the yesterday and today and it went pretty good but not as good as I would have liked. My truck is finally fine and not blowing freeze plugs. When I got off the dyno the yesterday my ABS and parking break light were on. Other than that my truck has only had one code p0148 fuel delivery. Untill about two hours ago when I was driving 101 south to LA to go to a dyno event where I wanted to beat Doug Lindsays chevy but NOOOOO. My truck started blogging on the freeway after a couple pulls with my my box on tow only which is still a lot of power. I thought no big deal right so I pull over with my Chevy driving twin brother who I can tell is laughing inside and clear the stupid fuel delivery code. Then I keep driving but no more punching it cause I just want to make it to LA and show some chevys what GOAT power is all about. Well ten minutes later the ABS and parking break light come on along with a code I think was Uv101 something like that well my truck is like dying the powers sputtering on and offf and jerking so I coast to the exit and luckily gas station 50ft. Thats the only luck of the night. So then I call my mechanic at 11:25pm and hes still up and trys to help me out. So I start checking every fuse on the truck I can find duel fueler,FAss fuse, ABS fuse. I found two blown fuses one my mechanic says was the ABS and the other was about 7inches from the fass pump a 15amp. I replaced all of them and nothing. I cant hear my FAss on start so I guess the FASS took a dump. Well after that it got so bad if I had hair I would have ripped it from my head. My 5 chihuahuas thought it would be a funny joke especially under the circumstances to lock there dad out. So now the tow truck bill is deffinatly going to be 250. So after 3 hours of my first dyno event trip Im down $250, my dogs peed all over my leather when they were locked in and I got a broken cummins and by the way my brand new 4000 dollar injection pump was buzzing. So anyway I hope everyone else had a good day on DTR. Kepp the Horses up fellas its 3:55am and I just made it home. talk to yall later. P.S the only good thing about my last couple of Days is I hit 658.9HP and 1257TRQ CORRECTED on a Super Flow Win Dyn.

Man that is doesnt sound like a very good day you had and I see you fell a little short of your 700 goal but I am sure with a little tuning you will be 700+

Good numbers and keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot wap I did fall a little short but in the end I knew I was not going to make 700HP right away But I really think if send in my crazy larry for Scarry Larry and add a TST along with my stage 3 predator I think Its going to be nuts I think then I will be very close if not over. MY edge made me lose 10hp roughly for every level I turned it up on the dyno. I really want to get on a dynojet like everyone else. So technically all the power was made with crazy larry and a Stage 3 predator which is not much. That TST would really get me up there and then the Scarry larry would catapult me to Really high HP. If Luken hit 659 with his setup and I use the same boxes as him with everyhting else I got It should be interesting. But then again Im getting ahead of myself because Im back to trying to get her to run.

nice #'s! i think 700 is very doable with your truck, especially with some bigger sticks. sorry to hear about your truck, that sucks.

I have four chihuahuas in my lap right now there the best two blue merles,1 fawn brindle,1 fawn tan. What do you guys think is wrong with my truck. everytime I ask questions on here I get good answers come on guys I want to know so I can sleep. I dont know the correction factor the other day was my first dyno ever all they told me is do not hit the break and if you want to hit really high #s or break records this dyno is not for you. I go to the same dyno as Ponci. They say its a very unforgiving dyno. I guess some chevy dude went into the super flow win up in my area with a 705 from what ever dyno he was on before and only hit 640 or so. I think with just the TST and I will be in the high 600's and when scarry larrry is here well Im going to try to hit that all mighty 700Hp mark.

Codes and rough running. The reason my HP is low is because people around me bugged me so much because I wanted 4 flow injectors and I got 3. But hey with the right tuning 700 Is now very reachable. What are the differences if any in the 3 kinds of Dynos.

If its running rough the engine is probably toasted.

I guess you should have taken your wawa's to Taco Bell, maybe they wouldn't have locked you out and peed on your seats!

Well usually when a common rail motor runs rough it usually from an injector malfunctioning. When an injector malfunctions typically it floods the cylinder with fuel which can fill the motor with fuel or melt a piston.

Another thing that can cause an engine to run rough is a blown headgasket or dropped valve seat.

Generally speaking if a common rail is sputtering or running rough start looking at $$$$$

Whats this about the $4000 injector pump buzzing??????

Been there done every single one of those,if you catch a bad injector fast enough, you can save the engine, dropped valve seat, your screwed,Ive had check engine lights on after dyos, after codes were cleared it was fine, never broken anything on dynos, but theres a first time for everything.

I have two customer who used that dyno. One was 82 HP higher when compared to a DynoJet. One was 65.

Try and find a Dynojet. With the overwhelming number of Dynojets across the country and a market saturation of 70% of chassis dynos, you will have a much easier time comparing to others results.
