BDPP and EGT's
Okay yall, I now have the Pup in and working, however, my gauges are still waiting financial backing from my wallet! Soon to come, but in the meantime I have just a few questions for those who have a simular setup and what their EGT's run.
I have it set on performance, my airbox mod is a 4 inch tube in the bottom that extends to base of fender liner. plus my exhaust.
What are yall running just driving around normal driving?
Long road trips?
WOT up to 70-80mph?
WOT just though a few gears?
When they get high, whats the quickest way to cool off?
Just stuff I should probably be weary of. Thanks in advance yall, sorry to bombard the questions.

I used to run the Power Pup on my 03 with just about the same mods as you (4" straight piped exhaust, 6" tip & home made air intake with a AEM Dry Flow filter). I also usually ran the Pup on the performance setting (90HP) & I never hit 1350 degrees on the pyrometer, even while pulling my 5th wheel camper on the performance setting.
Road trips.....Usually around 750-900 degrees
WOT......On level ground....maybe 1100 max
WOT while pulling a grade.....maybe 1250 max.....
Like I said earlier.....I never hit 1350 while on the performance setting.

Thanks a bunch, we went on a 500 mile trip today and I will openly admit that I was nervous about really getting on it, I did a few times, once to blow the doors off a durasmack
, and i did lug it real good to smoke out a a$$rider(that may be bad but still learning) but just drove normal, if not lighter than normal. Thanks again, on extreme can the stock cp3 and injectors handle it or are those upgrades needed first, and at that I am guessing is where egts really get high, I am not EVEN gonna try extreme for a while, probably even after I get my gauges just because this is all still new and I have a lot of knowledge to gain first. Everyone I spoke with regarding the "extreme" setting told me that the stock injectors & CP3 should be able to handle it, but when I ran it on the "extreme" setting, my truck would pop & surge real bad. I thought I was either running the rail dry or was defueling, but BD Customer Support suggested that I may have had an out of date program & that I send it back in to them for an upgrade. Instead I sold it & purchased the DiabloSport stack combination kit.....
Yes on the "extreme" my EGT's would hit 1300 easily......especially if I lugged the motor...
