Has anyone installed the BD turboguard blow-off valve.I get some turbo bark when towing my trailer,will this turboguard help prevent this?I let off the gas pedal now or start out in the tow-haul mode until I reach 55-60mph to prevent the turbo bark.Thanks for any info,coobie

Since installing my aFe yesterday, I guess I'm getting what you guy's are calling turbo bark. Can this cause any damage, or is it just more annoying than anything.

Yes, I get it sometimes too, and I'm sure it can't be good for it. A BOV would sound nice on these trucks too, but, I'm not gonna get one unless it helps somehow.

 

I posted this over on the TDR and got a response from a board member called hasselbach about the BD bov and he bought and installed one and said he has no more turbo bark.coobie

 

I get the same thing. $660 would go good towards a bigger and new turbo though.

 

so does that b.o.v. make that distinctive ppppppppppssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhh (noise) when it goes off?

Your the man. I won't be back in the U.S. for another few weeks. I'll know soon enough. My wife has been complaining about all the boxes piling up in the shop while I have been gone. Looks like I'll be pretty busy between then and next race season.
