I would guess it is either wired incorrectly or the unit is faulty. That's not the way mine worked. Everything worked on mine as normal except when I was hammering it then it went to I believe 80mph and the gauge fluttered a bit and that's all it would show but you would just keep going and increasing speed to whatever you took it to and of course that would not register. I took mine off last Sept as it didn't play well with my Co-Pilot Lockup controller.

It's very easy to wire it up wrong.
I had one on my 03 and the purple/yellow wire you tap into, which is the most important wire, is not the only purple/yellow wire in the wiring loom. I tapped into the wrong one initially but discovered my mistake immediately....

I had no issues with mine but, as I said, I found I had wired it wrong before I tried to start it...

ok i found mostly what was wrong, the lock up controller was grounded to the wrong wire,(white with purple tracer) and wouldent allow the vss circuit to complete it self.

now i need to find out what wires are pos and neg on the vss, and the colors.

on a 04' auto, anyone know thanks
this is for a TS lock up controller, the directions i got were not complete.

Go to Suncoast's website, click on the Dodge site, click on the section for their lockup controller. In the bottom left corner of their page is a link to the downloadable instructions.

NOT. The gauges work just like normal until your speed gets to that predetermined point (I think around 80mph) and then your speedo won't go any higher. I had NO ABS lights or anyother weird thing.

judge88 is right. On the 03 when I turned it on all the guages went dead and the low fuel dinger would start going off.
