Banks High-ram 3.5" or Wilson thrasher??

I have an 07 with a 4 inch turbo back, 100hp diablo tune, and an AFE stage 2 intake. I will be upgrading the converter and valve body soon along with some tranny stuff. Has anyone compared these two intakes? I plan on around 450-500 hp.

Wilson looks alot nicer & I like the Dyno graphs. If I knew about this before I got my ATS Arcflow, I would have purchased the Wilson.

For 450-500 hp both would be a waste of money IMO,but that being said another vote for Wilson

Alot work involved with installing the wilson over most intake manifolds plus you lose the grid heater. Looks like you have to remove the injector lines and the rail. Wilson will probably give the most power, but the difference between the wilson and anything else will probably be negligible. I have a CFM+ and took 15 minutes to put on and I got to keep the heater.

What level of hp should an intake be put on? What do you think I should do before an intake?

with the Banks,ATS,CFM,BD,AFE and the Wilsons the gains are not that much. to truly gain some power the best intake manifolds are the ZZ Fabrication and Banks Big Hoss side mount intake manifolds. they require some modifications to the cylinder head but, it allows you to get to the intake runners to do port work.also when you remove the stock casting intake manifold you get rid of the bottle necking on the #1 and #6 intake ports.

Four digit power has been achieved with the stock horn,Loyd Mills did 1289.Dont me wrong I have the Banks only because it came with the Technicooler intercooler (which I believe is a good product) and now all my plumbing is 3.5 instead of stock 3" and I didnt feel like adapting back.I match ported it to my grid delete and modified it so I dont have the back two studs in the air stream (that some seam to believe cause turbulance and acts as a restriction),and I personally saw no noteable difference. Some people feel aftermarket intakes aid in spoolup. My experience is their pretty much eye candy.I only have experience with Banks so I guess I cant speak for the others CFM,ATS ext ext
