Banks High Ram

Is the banks High Ram air worth the money? Will I notice any power increase. I just got a Racers Choice air box that I love. I also plan on getting the Banks sixgun with PDA and a Cat back dual exhaust for my truck. I know most of you do not like the Banks setup. But I am looking for safe power streetable power not a puller/drag racer. I will also get the FASS down the road. But is anyone running the High Ram intake?

The general idea around here is that aftermarket intake horns do not provide much performance gains if any at all. Do a search on intakes and you will get plenty of info.

Just right-click it and you can save it to use yourself.

I have got one. It is a big waste of money unless you are pumping serious horsepower. So, if you are like me, stock truck basically, the high ram will not gain you very much at all. I was robbed.....just didn't know it.

Thanks for your input. I kinda bought one already on EBAY. But the sellers not responding to emails. PLus he sells other diesel performance parts. So maybe he will let me change my order to an exhuast system. I have not yet paid for the item since he listed it without any shipping costs. He just claimed it would be about 15 but wanted to be contacted after sale. SO thanks for saving me $250

I have seen the intercooler kit that includes the high ram. I would use it when I upgrade the intercooler.

OK So I got the High Ram on. Being that my truck is stock still. I did notice a slight improvement. When I took the stock horn off I could not believe how little air passes through it. Just before it goes down into the intake it narrows down to like a 1 inch passage at the last angle. Say what you want about them. I noticed some increase in power and hopefully it will help when I buy the PDA kit next week.
