I have the Banks Six Gun w/ PDA (as seen in the sig) and I'm happy with it. After installing it, driving empty on the highway at 75 mph unloaded, my average mpg went from 16.3 to 18.2. Driving empty keeping the truck below 2100 rpm and no more than 60 mph, my mileage increased from 17.7 mpg to 21.8. With the truck loaded with 10k pounds at 75 mph, I got 11.3 mpg before the Banks and 13.8 after. I have all of the data from every fillup if you'd be interested in seeing it. When I say driving empty, the truck weighs 8100 pounds (full tank of fuel and driver). About Banks customer/ technical service, I have had nothing but great luck with them. I have called about a dozen times now and I am extremely happy with the service and knowledge provided.

I am going with what RD TRCTR said. I have had good luck out of mine. I can't say who is the best when it comes to programmers, but I like the set up I have. I had a problem with a cable on mine and they had a new one in the mail in just a few days. If you would want information on the rep from Banks that gave me a good deal, PM me and I will pass you the information. If anything ever happens to my Banks programmer, I might try a different brand, but the PDA is pretty cool in my opinion!!

Your money can be spent better else-where. Quadzilla would be a way better option.

PS: you will find "Banks" is a curse word on diesel forums.

Banks is a little overpriced. But they will nail you if you need to buy a part for one of their products. For example they won't sell me a 65 cent o-ring that I need but I can buy the whole part for $450. I won't even recomend their products to someone I don't like!!!

Oh man--- this is supposed to be a family friendly site only to find out I've been cursing all this time???

I hope I don't get banned

I second the Smarty choice or Quad for the money/value. I am qualified to berate the Banks 'cause I own one. If you are going to blow that much money get the Smarty and you have a lot more growth potential for power later. If you want a solid lower cost option get the Quad. My.02
Banks is very safe though and won't let you wreck anything-- but doesn't give a lot either.

Rascal, I have a Banks Six-Gun myself and I looked at the Banks High-Ram, but I didn't like two things. The over-sized head with the bolts running thru the airway and the fact that the inside of the casting isn't as smooth as the outside, it seems to me the airflow side should be the smoothest portion of the part....I chose the CFM+ intake-elbow because of its smoothness and the material is suppose to dissipate heat better than aluminum/cast products.
Just my opinion.......(otta be yours)
