As of now the plan is to take the truck to Relentless on Tuesday morning if everything works out. If not, the truck will go Wednesday. I've got an appointment with a john deere mechanic tommorrow 2.5 hours from my broke down truck. Special thanks goes out to "Boarbuster" for hauling me to go get my ranch truck....now I just wish i could afford 8mpg.
well if you have time for a cold beer let me know. im about 5 mins from chris' shop, and should be off

Thanks for the offer. If Chris gives me bad news, I may make you a heck of a deal on a tranny. We'll discuss that later.

Your rail pressure is all over the place and engine makes a "knocking?" Take a heat gun and aim it at the exhaust manifold nearest the head you should have one cylinder running colder than the rest. that one will be the one giving you grief. A rod noise may and can give you eratic oil pressure, unless you blew a tip off an injector, unfortunately that will be bad news. Do not crack the fuel lines with that engine running.

Sounds similar to eric's truck when he dropped a valve seat. Cept his was a LOT louder and there was no making it quieter when you gave it any fuel.

I'm gonna get some help and do that as soon as i get back to College Station. I have soo much going right now that I had to leave town to get some other work done....and now that I'm here, I got rained out of one job and waiting on parts for another job.

Thanks goes out to Boarbuster for driving me 2.5 hours from College Station so i could pick up my farm truck. If he wouldn't have done that, I would be walking! (and now driving my old truck getting 8mpg, it may be a better idea to walk considering gas prices! )

thank your government for those high gas prices. they should never let that happen but they do. not trying to hijack the thread. a cashier at the shell said one day, some woman just pumped fuel and took off. I told him at $3 a gallon they deserve it. he didnt like that comment
