Dang Phil I hate it for ya. I would invetigatet the rp (cp3) if it wasnt too much work, then pull the head and go from there. I am no expert but I would at least pull the head before I traded in or anything like that.
Keep us posted and good luck

Phil has a video he is getting ready for you guys, I went and listened to it yesterday, and it doesent sound very good. To me it sounds like a lower engine knock but that was just standing there listening to it.
Phil, if you want we can pull the valve cover and check the valve train, its Sunday and I cant sit in this house for very long before the mad pregnant woman drives me crazy.
lol

Thats funny.
My truck was making a noise like a little man was in there hitting my block with a big hammer. turned out to be a valve seat, but we caught it in time. hopefully you get lucky and its something easy. Good luck, Rye.

FREAKY I've never heard anything like it. Course I've never heard alot of things. This sucks especially after all your recent tuning to get the turbos right. I'll be watching closely to see what you find out. Good Luck man I hope it ends up being something fairly simple.

thanks man, me too.
As of now the plan is to take the truck to Relentless on Tuesday morning if everything works out. If not, the truck will go Wednesday. I've got an appointment with a john deere mechanic tommorrow 2.5 hours from my broke down truck. Special thanks goes out to "Boarbuster" for hauling me to go get my ranch truck....now I just wish i could afford 8mpg.
