Autometer Turbo Boost Gauge .. Where to tie in?

Hey guys I'm hoping that someone can point me the right direction, I have read the instructions and honestly not 100% sure where the nylon T fitting should be placed to read the Turbo boost. I purchased Auto Metter Phantom 1 Series and honeslty for the price of the guages they sure could spend a little more money on developing better install directions.

http://www.dieselmanor.com/docs/auto...529A_boost.pdf

Here are the directions, Do I tap into any Vac Line or a specific location?

Thanks

Did you get a 'boost bolt' with your gauge? You can get a boost bolt and tie in the boost on the engine on the manifold plate. You can also tie in the boost at your intake horn, you will have to remove it and drill/tap a hole for it, or get an intake horn that has the boost hole already for a boost connection.

We have plenty of technical information here on this website, do a search, you will probably find what you need.

I tapped mine at the intake horn. If you do this, remove the horn, but be careful not to tear the gaskets, they are reusable. Might want to order one to be safe.

Heck, I think I still have my stock intake horn that is tapped if you want it.

If you have a boost bolt then the pic below will orient you on where the line should connect. There is a black nylon tube in front of the intake horn. If you look on your truck in that area you will see the intake manifold (its a flat cast piece that the horn connects direct to.) One of those manifold bolts can be removed and replaced with the boost bolt.
