Autometer problems?
 

First off they sent me the wrong fuel pressure gauge......

now with the FP gauge i have...the light won't stay in it and the wires fall out of the male end of the plug.....

EGT gauge will suddenly go dead...or once today it started slowly creeping up up and up and i was cruising at 65.....tap it once with my hand and it fixes itself momentarily and then messes up again...but some days it works perfectly.

Anyone else experience this?? i have phantoms.

I saw some cool looking LED gauges a while back. if anyone could give me a link i would appreciate it....or suggest another brand with links.

I would call Autometer in the morning and see what they have to say about it.

tell them if they cant help you your going to buy Dipricol or Isspro instead [laugh] (of course be nice about it too;) :) )

I have Phantoms on my rock crawler I like them a lot and have had zero problems.

and i forgot to rant about the little bulb cover things to "color" the gauge. they may all look red but aren't the same shade of red lit up.

i'll definitely call Autometer and complain...then tell them i want the Phantom II's as a replacement!

You'll like the Phantom II better; that's why I chose the UltraLight II, because the II's have superior backlighting.

called and complained. New light socket and harness for Fuel Pressure gauge and 3 new rubber light covers for free...mailed to my door. I was told i would have to send in the pyro for them to look at it...ha. not happening.

They said they can't upgrade me to Phantom II's because its an entire different kind of gauge.

I had problems with mine too,, found that I had to really tighten the connection on the back of the guage,, worked perfectly after that
