Angry Attempted Theft 8-4-07

Ok, so I was woken up this morning by my neighbor ringing the door bell and rubbed the sleepy out of my eyes and my truck was in the middle of the street. The little (choice words) tried to steal my truck last night between midnight and 6:33 AM. The cops came fairly fast and the crime scene tried to lift some prints but it does not look good. All I have to say is thank you Ravelco. They could not steal the truck and yes, I may have some interior damage but my investment is still in the driveway. Plugged in the Ravelco and stuck a screw driver in the hole and it fired right up. I had the Ravelco installed this winter and it works that is all I have to say is THANK YOU RAVELCO FOR PROTECTING MY TRUCK!!

Glad they did not get your truck,
I mumbled some choice words after seeing the mess they left you with.

If you don't mind a sugestion, after its all cleaned up mabey get some type of alarm installed to scare them away when they open the doors so they don't have time to cause that type of mess if it happens again one day.

Again I am glad you still have the truck.

Man that sucks!

Does the Ravelco device do essentially the same thing as the Sentry key?

well without the ravelco plug installed the truck WILL NOT START OR RUN. pull the plug when it is running and it dies. The sad thing is that the sentry key is cool and all but can buy a no key required bypass module online with NO questions asked for under $40. I called a buddy who runs an accessory shop here in town and we are going to install 2 120db sirens in the cab and 2 120db sirens under the chassis so when the door is opened it wakes up the neighbors.

I thought that module still needed to be programmed to your vehicle before it would work (similar to programming a 3rd Sentry key)?

Sorry to hear about the damage! But it's nice to know that you still had a truck to walk outside to.

One more vote here for the Ravelco, great little unit. It will deter the 95% of car theives that do not use a flatbed.

Man I would shoot someone if I caught em. You work so hard to afford a truck like that, and some piece of Edit comes along with no sense of ownership or pride and wants to steal it from you. That is why I have this little guy.....

That blows. It could of been worse though.

So are you getting a whole new steering colum?

Look on the bright side of things, they didn't steal the RECON lights.
