Doug (jetpilot) at PerformanceDieselWarehouse. Get ready for sticker shock as they are about three times the cost of regular ARP studs. And probably not needed for anything unless your pushing close to the 1000hp mark...

Wow! That is pricey. Do you think they are worth 3x the price of the regular studs?

Right now even Doug is out of 24v 625 studs. Piers is the only place with them. Somewhere north of $1100 per set retail. Above 800hp they might be a good idea. Tim

For 95% of the people out there with non stock trucks these studs really arent necessary. They are more for the nitrous/street truck type crowd... Yes better than the stock ARP unit (which are already pretty darn good)but really if you want to do it the better way get the block done up so you can run the 14mm head studs from A1.

I am guessing that you have to pull the motor to drill out the block from 12 mm to 14mm to accept the larger studs? or am I wrong?

Some guys are saying that drilling for the 14mm studs makes the block weaker. Any truth to those rumors?
Doesn't make sense to me, unless they are drilling and tapping wrong.

I was under the impression that the 625 studs were still 12mm they were just made from a different material.

The new age 625+ are 12mm but are as strong as 14mm studs. They were made of an incredibly strong material. And also so you didn't have to do the drilling and tapping that a 14mm requires.

Yeah but what about the block?

Sorry, 14's are still superior...
