ArcticAir twins questions (RCCOX) and others

I'm seriously considering this setup for my 05'. My question is directed toward RCCOX especially because his truck is so freakin' fast and powerful, but anyone who has hands on experience with RelentlessDiesels products can please give their opinions.
Is there anything I need to know in particular about installation, any special tools, talents or ?.... I've built a few engines in the past and did a frame on resto of a 70'Chevelle (I've got too many tools according to the wife)..
Did you have to relocate anything for the install (trans cooler, etc.)?
How long from start to finish and any tips you can suggest?
This is my daily driver, my only transportation... I need to schedule things appropriately.
Would you do anything differently, or not do it at all...?
Alot of questions, I know...thanks in advance...

Relentless Diesel is a awesome company, one of the best in my opinion. C knows his %#$ very, very well. If you want some crazy horse power, that is the place you need.

To anyone who has never heard of Relentless Diesel, go to www.relentlessdiesel.com and check out the burnout video. Its is F'n awesome!

I agree. Chris does top notch work and I've heard nothing but good stuff about his twins.

The artic air twins come with a very detailed set of instructions.I think anyone with basic knowledge of a cummins motor and a good set of tools would have no problem installing them.Installation will take the better part of a day,so plan ahead and take your time.

Well if the those twins can support 818 horsepower I think that would be good enough for me.

My thoughts exactly... Plus I love the idea of utilizing the turbo I already have and the lower cost...

i might be wrong but pretty sure the arctic air twins is nothing more than a bht3b w/26 housing under your stocker. wich is a good and cheap setup, i think they are just charging for all the pipeing that comes w/it. if you have access to tubing and a welder it is not that complicated to do yourself. the bht3b can be had new for under 650.oo bucks

The setup would save me way more time (money). I can weld so-so. So I don't mind paying someone for there engineering of the compound turbos. And I know it works and obviously makes tremendous power.
I wouldn't even know where to begin fabbing something like that up...?

How would a bht3b compare to a II turbo, would it be close to a 62?

The artic air kits are a little more entailed than just a 3b and some piping. You get an ats manifold, oil drains, gaskets, modified waste gate, blow off valve, etc.I am sure some people here could fab their own plumbing.I am also pretty sure any one that has built their own would agree its a not just welding up pipe. There is alot of set up and fab work to get everything to fit right, the hot pipe alone is a nightmare because if you dont get it right you clearence issues with ac lines, the fire wall, block, you name it and it will get in the way.

I'm sold. Unfortunetly after hubs, ball joints, and most importantly a clutch. I really don't know how much longer the stocker will hang in there...
