Anyone running Eagle 114 18" wheels

My bfg's are about done and I'm going to buy a new tire and wheel package soon. Thinking about the eagle 114 18x9.5 wheel and a toyo open country mt 35x12.50. Any reason not to run this or do you know of anything better? Don't want to spend 3 grand on wheels and tires.

I have a 04 dodge 2500 with the 114 and the 325/65/18 toyo open countrys and there is no problem clearance wise, close but hasnt hit yet and ive tried believe me. That is with a 2 inch leveling kit also. That is a 35 by 13 inch tire

Got any pics you can send me? kris@lewiscounty.com How about the helo maxx8 wheels? I can't find any info on bs and weight specs. Not a bad looking wheel if they will fit.

On the helos the 17s will not fit the new dodges, only the 18s. The only problem with the helos is that they are more offset than the 114s. 114s are +24mm and the helos are +2mm i beleive. Basically you can put a bigger tire on the 114s. If you go with the helos you probably will have to use the toyo 325/60/18 I will try to get some pics.

That's what I'm looking for. 18" wheels. Do you know the back spacing on the helos?

the back spacing is 4.5, about a 0 offset wheel, so it would stick out about one inch over the 114s

I have the Diamo 18's. If I had to do it over again I would either get 17's or 20's. The lack of tire choices in the 18" size sucks and the tires are EXPENSIVE. My particular wheels would not clear 35's, they do rub somewhat with the 33's now but they look great. I highly recommend thinking it over about the tires because if you get the 17's you have a ton of choices at reasonable prices. I think the 18's have lost favor with tire makers because of the popularity of the 20.

I was initially wanting 18" because the toyo open county mt's didn't come in a 35x17. I just looked at their website and now they list a 35 17 tire. So how about some 17" options? What is a nice 17' wheel?

glowball,

I'll hook you up with a slightly used set of 17x9" Mickey Thompson Classics with the lug nuts. Stick out about 1"- 1 1/2", PM me if you are interested. See my photo gallery.
