Any news on 04.5 to 07 going from TNT to betas?

Well like the title says... I am not happy with tnt at all, and want to go back to the betas. Or heck even 4.11 wild would be nice. I am having bad problems with RPM hang. I shift fast, but no matter how fast i shift, the rpms spike 3500. I shift at 3200 usually when i'm just flogging it some. I am going to go back to stock and load up my old Diablosport just to try and get something more drivable.

From what I remember Bob Wagner saying there should be a new software release in the future but it looks like we are not ever going to be able to go back to the betas. I hate my truck with the Revo or Revo TNT software and have taken the Smarty completely off my truck. I loved the 4.11 wild with aftermarket turbo and injectors and 4.4 beta was a close second.

From what I understand now that they have released the 6.7 products and the PODS they are going to focus on some new tunes or a completely new product. I will be more than upset if I have to buy a new product to get the performance I had with the old software. That would be just cruel.........

I agree. I thought the point of this Smarty is its infinitely updateable and will last the life of the truck no matter what mods and what pregression of horsepower youre running. I am in no way bashing the product as IMO it is the best product I've put on my truck. Just I want my old truck back... The feel of 4.11 wild made this tnt on my truck feel like the stock smarty tunes before i loaded any catcher tunes.

This really confuses me.All the different members on here that can't go back to older tunes after running the TNT.I have been running the TNT and TNT/R since released and can still go back to the original beta 4.2 or 4.4 on my truck. What exactly is the cause of this? How can some trucks go back and some can't?

I too would be interested in hearing this...

I was told by Bob directly that I couldn't go back to the Betas from TNT/R...

I'd sure like to try the 4.2 again...

Load the Bully Dog Triple Dog into yout truck, then take it out, then your truck should be able to take the Beta tunes back into it. Its worked for us so far.

Thanks for that Info John...

Sucks that I'd have to buy a Triple dog to go back and forth though...

Doh!

I can go back to beta's, but if you load the latest release of the revo / tnt / tnt/r....i dont believe it's backward compatible with the betas (has new chrysler software version included).....that's why i'm still running the tnt/r 5.4 ....dont want to mess with loosing the beta compatibility.

Well I wonder if I'd be able to get away with it then... I've only got the TNT/R version 5.3... I've got 5.7 waiting in my inbox from Bob though. Maybe I'll just leave it at 5.3 if I could then use the betas!?

Only problem with that is I don't have the original copy of 5.3 on my computer anymore... I wonder if I can download it FROM the Smarty?

I have the TNT version S06 V414A DR55TNT. Can I go back to Beta 4.4 if I use the older USB driver for it?
I've sometimes wanted to go bck to do comparisons, but I'm afraid.

A friend told me to download it and try it on my truck. So I figured the only way to see if I'd like it is to load it up. Its the latest release of of Mads website. I dont like it as much as the betas. Granted this tune was developed for highly modified trucks. Mine is mildly modified and it doesnt sound or feel as if the software is for me. I just wanna go back to 4.2 or 4.3 or 4.4 or 4.11 wild even. Lloyd sent me a 4.3 file that he runs, but I cant run it. I take the TNT software back to stock, load up the new 4.3 and plug into the truck. I get "unknown software," on my screen. The truck will start and run just fine. Just cant load anything into the truck but TNT. Anyone else experiencing this?
