Anti Sway Bar Spacers ?
Anti Sway Bar Spacers ?
OK folks, I've got a leveling kit and 4 new shocks ordered and en route to my house. I remember a thread about leveling kits and it mentioned anti sway bar drop blocks. Are these really all that necessary. I've been looking at the KORE variety through desertracingconcepts.net. Of course it says to call for a price and they're closed today. Just looking at the things makes me guess that they're pricey. With this in mind, I don't wanna spring for 'em if I don't have to. Any input would be great. I've already got a bunch of dough in this project between the above parts, H2 rims, and I haven't even ordered tires. Thanks in advance.
I built my own blocks out of 1 1/2 " cold rolled steel. Just use the bushings from the sway bar to mark the holes and the length of the blocks. Drill holes cut to length and put them between the frame and bushing. Worked great. I couldn't see paying Kore for something so simple to build
not sure on really needing them or not.
but my lorenz ones will be here soon.
there must be others that make em also.
I was wondering how think they were.
carli makes some extended links also.

I was running 5" of lift with no sway bar drop. The sway bar end links were hitting my coils, It just bent the washer on the top a bit under the nut. I just installed the skyjacker drop brackets over the weekend, I wouldn't have, but I plan on adding more lift, so I needed to drop it a bit. If there not hitting, I wouldn't worry about it. On the older trucks, guys were flipping their sway bar upside-down, but I don't know if it works on the newer trucks.
I would assume that without the brackets your front wheel travel would certainly be limited. I wouldnt worry too much about it if your gonna stay on the street. Rockcrawling or any other four wheeling you might want to buy some.

I can agree with that, but guys looking for that much articulation either use disconnect's or don't even use the swaybar at all. I just wouldn't think with only a spacer a swaybar drop would make that big of a difference.

question is, will an alignment be needed after a 2" leveling? Thanks and sorry if I hyjacked at all...
I will be making some sway bar drop brackets for my install!
I have 41k clocked so far... hard miles too... 100+mph is not out of the norm. - the alignment is dead on from the factory... after I install a 2" leveling kit, I would hate for it to drive funny... b/c now it is so nice!! If I get death wobble I will be so ******.
