Had truck into dealer this afternoon knowing it had a P0191 code using tne key trick, off & on 3 times. Shows P0191 then done. Ok on to the question, I asked the mechanic if he could diganose the code and then clear it...while he was enabling my high idle. (did ask about voiding warranty with the Quad ZXT box and he replied he didn't care and it wouldn't be a problem). OK he used the scan tool and there was no code stored but it still shows up on the key check. Also had a P0248 but it cleared it self after enough starts. Don't know what set them but it was after I removed the box to send it back for a re-flash and the codes were set without it. Could the fuel pressure fooling have damaged the fuel sensor? But if that was the case why couldn't the mechanic see any codes when he scaned for them?

I have no ideas, hopefully someone else might have an idea.

I know there is a new TSB out for the engine light coming on, don't know the code but mine threw it last weekend while sitting in a parking lot. Anyway it has to do with the electric fan clutch, and my code disappeared quick after the light came on.

 

Not getting the check engine lite, only the P0191 code when you bump the key 3 times. Dealer says there is no code showing on his scanner so he can't clear it. Anyone know if disconnection the battery may clear it? Also as far as the key cycles I have already cleared the P0248 (I think) after about 1 week or so. This one just seems to want to stay a while.

Only trying to find a way to get code cleared.
