Alarm causing trouble???

Two years ago I had the Viper put in with remote start feature at a local BIG store. Yellow building with a big blue price tag sign. Anyway, when they first installed the unit I found the truck would studder for a split second. Almost felt like the truck shifting.

I took it to the dealership to fix not thinking the alarm had anything to do with it and the problem could not be duplicated at that time. It's two years later and the problem is back with a vengeance. Dealer had the truck for two days and claimed the air filter was dirty, changed it, charged me $133 and sent me on my way. You guessed as did I, it was not the air filter.

I have a friend with a truck just like mine, had the same problem and took out the remote start feature and never had the problem again. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix. It "studders" at any speed, temp or load. It does it at idle in a parking lot so I am sure it's not the tranny. It's like the motor dies for split second! The alarm is tied to the ecm so it knows when the truck is running. I wonder if that is where my trouble lies.
If you have any ideas let me now I'm all eyes...

little more info on the remote start brand would be helpfull, but anyway if it is your remote start there is only one wire that could cause this and it is the wire labeled tach on the remote start itself. If you can find that clip it and see if the problem is still there,if you want email me with you #.

It's a Viper 771XV unit.
The truck is at an electrical shop right now. I'll point that out Monday a.m. have them look that direction.
