Ya i mounted the horn itself under the radiator fabbed a bracket out of some angle iron and had a buddy weld it to the frame, then remote mounted the compressor, solenoid and tank on the skidplate for the transfer case

sounds sweet need pics as I am trying to find a spot to mount mine..... genuine old horn, gotta get ofver the price on a compressor too, there expensive for a good one, looking at the viair ones, the lowriders use them to power their air suspensions. Any one see good price on a 450c model?

I have a pair of twin Hadley round-bell horns (19" and 22" long) mounted to the passenger front fender, underneath the airbox (actually used the airbox mounts to anchor a bracket that holds the back of the horn, then bolted the front pedestal support directly to the inner fender liner):

I had a Scotty RA3 airbox when I did this, so the stock airbox mounts weren't needed. When I switched over to the Diesel Dynamics airbox (similar to an Airaid), I knocked the studs out of the airbox, reversed the bolts on the horn mounts (so the bolts are sticking up), and the airbox drops right over the bolts. A couple of wing nuts secures the airbox, and allows for quick removal.
