AFE State 2 & Black Smoke

Maybe its a dumb question but ever since I installed the AFE Stage 2 intake (big tube) it seems like i'm blowing black smoke more often, I thought with the increased air flow the black smoke would be less present due to more oxygen, correct me if i'm wrong. . . .

I'm not worried about it but curious.

Also IIRC the stage 2 for a 5.9L 07 CTD has a 6" tube, is that correct, I cant find anything on that.

There would be no reason a free flowing intake would cause black smoke. Maybe a really clogged filter...

Nah couldn't be the air filter its only been in there for like 4 weeks if that, do you mean fuel filter? I will be replacing that this weekend!!!
