AFE Bladerunner

Just installed an AFE bladerunner on the truck below. Everything fit great, no missing parts and it took about 45 mins(including scraping both gaskets). I have some pretty serious towing to do this week and im hoping for that idle-2000 rpm 50 ft lbs torque increase like stated....we shall see!! I am skeptical....it sure does look nice though

Just filled up 17.9 mpg hand calc'ed today.....ill get the next few unloaded tanks and see if theres a difference. I drive pretty much the same route 100 miles a day everyday.

Oh and if someone is looking at this, i got mine from Thoroughbred diesel...they had the cheapest price by far and got it to me quick!!

50 miles to work this morning...i can tell a noticable difference in the 1300-2000 rpm range, and im in that range 95% of the time driving. The turbo picks up a little quicker...makes a noticable difference in bottom end! Worth it to me, i bet im going to love it towing!

this may be something thats more noticeable for us standard tranny guys

I have been thinking about getting one of those....but Geesh they sure are expensive. They all are...not just the AFE BR.

pulled a couple hundred miles this weekend about 7k lbs...i could definitly tell a diference towing....i never had to go over 2k rpm. There is alot more torque from idle, its very very nice!

On a side not, i got a diablo predator and installed the tow tune, took a spin unloaded and as soon as i mashed on it in 3rd gear about 2k rpm it instantly overpowered the clutch? I thought the 60 hp tow tune was supposed to be mild? Heck i ran the 90 horse in the smarty thousands of miles and the clutch never thought about slipping?

I double check the tune loaded and it said it was the tow tune. The way it hit was sure acting like an extreme program or something

Diablo tunes seem to be pretty aggressive

I have the Bladerunner as well. I've noticed a slight increase in boost. Maybe 2 to 3 psi. Seems to spool a little faster and have more bottom end.
