Accuracy of trans temp in Edge Attitude?
The Edge Attitude says it will monitor transmission temperature, at least on the '06 trucks. They do this by getting some reading from the PCM, not by using an external temp probe like the Quad Commander does. Does anyone have any idea how accurate the trans temp reading from the PCM is?
page 29 and 30 in the instruction booklet pdf go over how to change the values.

Are you sure you got the model for the '06's? Apparently the trans temp monitoring is specific to the '06 models.

Well, I talked to Edge's tech support and this is what they told me regarding the '06 trucks:
I knew the the '06's had a trans temp warning light, I just didn't know how the factory was monitoring the temp.
...on the 2006 Dodge that they actually installed a sensor in the transmission fluid that is like any sensor you would install. This is in turn sending a analog data signal to the PCM. When in the PCM it is there and we are able to pull that data out and display it in the actual temperature.
