I used to have many dirt bikes, never any street bikes though. I never bow hunted, but I did used to hunt deer when it was cheaper to stock the deep freeze with venison than beef. Now I can go to the farmer on the corner and buy a 1/4 cow for $200, so I don't sit in the woods much anymore waiting for bambie.

I got the nickname Muzzy many years ago in highschool since everyone had a hard time trying to pronounce my last name. It had stuck with me all these years and no matter where I have lived, people have picked up on calling me Muzzy.

You need another....I hear the KTM 525 EXC is the perfect match for the Cummins. Rumor has it that the majority of 525 owners haul them with a CTD. I guess cuz it pulls so hard down low It just may be my next bike!

Cool, I just had MotoPro Suspension where you are in WA rework the suspension on my RM250 for woods use. The KDX is a great bike- I owned an 88 once.

Wadya think about this 51" Nelson? I see they have one that is same specs as the one mentioned but in a 5" outlet so you could have a bigger tail pipe!

Blownaway,
I noticed there are two hangers for the stock muffler. Did the muffler shop use both hanger locations or did they create new ones?

After reading this thread, I went out and found the Donaldson big muffler and had it installed. Very Happy, the truck seems to run smoother and easier and with the windows up it is actually quieter. Most of today though, I had the right windows down and enjoyed bouncing the big rig sound off of everything. I may have picked up a half a mile per gallon. With the AFE last week and now the straight through muffler, my boost gauge reacts much faster. It spools up to 22-23 lbs almost faster than I can follow it. I do not remember it coming up that fast before the mods. Cool,,

Excellent Big Bob.
Did you order the 3.5" to 4" adapter? A new Fleetpride store just opened here in Houston and they quoted $55 for the 51" Nelson, but I forgot to ask about adapters. I will hopefully do mine and my buddy's '03 next month.
Post some pics of the install!

MikeyB,

No I didn't order the adapter, however I called Napa and they have them. I am considering have a muffler shop put it on because of my time restraints. I'm not sure at this time, we'll see.

I cut off the factory hangers from the factory pipe and muffler and got creative with a welder, the muffler is such heavy material you can weld hangers on it pretty much anywhere.
