Donaldson M090535 truck muffler. I ordered one but haven't installed it yet. It arrived dented and UPS just picked it up today. Here's the link from Donaldson's website showing the flow numbers:
https://dynamic.donaldson.com/webc/W...210&item=22271 Be advised this is a big muffler, 51" long / 9 " diameter. This is a straight through muffler with no baffle. Glen |
I have the complete turbo back system from fullspectrumperformance.com and love it. The mufler is avalible by itself and is a true 5inch all the way through. The complete system I have has no drone at all at any speed.... well its only been to 85mph on the hwy so I will say no drone up to 85.

pmtdiesel.com great prices

I've installed the Dynomax Race Bullet Muffler in the 4" version. I got it from Jegs.com. The 5" version is part number 289-24233, but they have the wrong picture shown. It's 5" ID inlet/outlet.
I welded mine directly behind the cat, and it's immediately followed by a turndown. I love it. |

ANSA has a Black Stainless Steel 5" dual or single... It essentially looks like Black Chrome... I don't know about pricing, but I believe ANSA makes Silverline

stock03, it's loud, but not as loud as when I had the turndown clamped on the back of the cat. That hurt my head. It's got a great deep low end rumble at idle, and it roars at WOT. I just added 18" between the muffley and the turndown, which moved the exhaust exit beyond the cab. That made it quieter in the cab.
I was told not to do this because of soot issues under the truck. Mine doesn't smoke, so it doesn't seem to be a problem. I love the way it sounds though. |

I'm still thinking of getting a diff muffler. The drone is too much on the highway. But it sounds great at WOT. How does your truck sound on the highway at 65mph and faster? |
65mph or higher sounds great. I have to turn the radio up alittle more though.
|
well right now im running a 5" str8 pipe that turns down and to the side right after the cab. maybe its a sign of me getting old, but its just too much these days.

tcr, I ordered it from Ryder Fleet Products. www.ryderfleetproducts.com The muffler was $75.94 to my door. It came dented, but UPS picked it up yesterday. We'll see what happens. Any big truck shop should be able to order you one. I also ordered my 5" exhaust-no muffler from Full Spectrum Performance. www.fullspectrumperformance.us Quality was just as good as the 4" Pinnacle Performance(Jardine) exhaust that I have I my truck now. That lasted 7 years, just rusted out and broke before the muffler. The 5 inch exhaust has a 4 inch downpipe then goes 5 inch the rest of the way. For the money you can't beat it. Just a note for '94-'02 trucks the first intermediate pipe is clearanced slightly for the crossmember. At first I thought that was dented too.-Glen
