4x2 after market shocks

I just can't find any good shocks specifically made for an '04 4x2. Can anyone here tell me about any after market shocks they've installed and would recommend. Thanks.

I'm still running the stock shocks but I do know that KYB has a set for our 2wd trucks. I have used KYB shocks in the past with good results.

Not to sure if they make a shock to fit our 4X2, but I am looking at a set of Pro-Comp MX-6 for mine.

My stock shocks are warn out so I'm really interested in some new shocks too. Ya, a shock place on the internet told be Bilstien has no listing for our 2500/3500 two wheel drive trucks. I did see an SRT-10 (1500 2WD) at a local auto show that had Bilstien shocks on it though.

I'm going for a set of Monroe Reflex. I put a set on our Durango for the same axle bounce and oscillation the Rams have. They're stiff but I'd rather have stiff than a truck that feels worn out and constant jiggle. A co-worker put a set on his '03 Ram and they took all the jiggle and bounce out of his too. He wanted the Bilsteins but they're taking years to develope them. Monroe just came out with the Reflex shocks for our trucks. The Monroes are $44 each. Not a bad deal. I put Edelbrocks on my '98 for $90 each. They didn't control the jiggles and were too soft. For the money, I'm sold on the Monroes. Not the Sensatrac. They're too soft too.

I was just trying to think of the shocks that I helped put on the GMC Savana in my signature, and I think they were the Monroe Reflex ones you're talking about. I remember for sure they were Monroe but I couldn't remember the model. Reflex sounds really, really familiar. BTW, they worked really well for that Savana. They made the handling noticably better. I think I'll get some of those too.:)

Monroe Reflex seems like the same issue as the all other brands. No listing for '04/'03 trucks.

I think '02 shocks will fit '04/'03 2wd trucks, but I wouldn't feel super good about it. Looking at bilstiens history on 4wd's the part number for pre '04's are the same back to at least '02 for the heavy duty's. I'd like to call bilstien to see if the same is possible for 2wd's too, but they'll most likely not say.

Has anyone replaced their shocks on a '03-'04 2wd?
