37 12.50
does anyone have any recommendations for 37's. I'm thinking 12.50 so as to avoid rub issues?
just looking for some personal recommendations from you all...you know...the people who have this forum...the forum that introduced me to all the sweet mods you can make to your dodge...and the reason I'm becoming poor! I love it!!

I am considering 37s now. Either MTR or Toyo they come in a "E" rated tire. Biggest reason to go that way, or I would stay with the BFG. Similar load rating, but I just want to try a different brand, that may be more of my decision point.
I prefer the MT designs over ATs. The MTs done seem to pick up rocks and throw them up as much as the ATs do. I have MTs now after two sets of ATs and don’t notice any shortcomings to the MT. BFG by the way.
As far as how much tire and how much lift, wheels have a lot to do with it. That and what lift you are using or considering.

As stated above, lift depends. There are people on here running 37's with a 3" lift 4.5" and 6". 6" is the way to go because there are virtually no rubbing issues. My roommate fit 35's on stock with little or no rubbing with the stock wheels. We installed a 3" lift and he got new wheels that stick out further and he is considering 37's because of all the space.
I'm no expert, but I'd like to go out on a limb and say you don't need a 7" lift to fit 37's.
I think an all terrain is more suited as I drive on road more than not, but I'm not opposed to getting a mud terrain.
further more, I plan on sticking with the stock wheel...and maybe getting it powder coated maganesium or some dark color.

With the 3rd Gen wheels, you can run 37's with a leveling kit. I ran that on my 03, with Goodyear 37" MTR's. Only rub on control arms at full lock. Went to Toyo 37x13.50x17's on same wheels, and KORE RACE(about 2.5-3inch left), and still only rubbed on control arm at full lock.
Now if you take it offroad and really push it, you will hit the lower rear of the fender, so some clearancing may be required. I switched to DRC Fiberglass fenders and some trimming, issue solved when offroad very aggressive, even slight jumping.
Depending on what you use your truck for, you may experience rub with 37's and slight lifts. Again, the wheel choice is a major factor, and whether you care that you rub the control arms at full lock, like parking lot manuevers.

One vote here for the MT/R's. They have worked out great for me, couldn't be happier with them. I now have over 65k miles on them and i'm not quite down to the indicators yet. Do a lot of shopping around for them, prices seem to vary a decent amount from place to place.
I've got the MTR's on, and so far I love them. Discounttire.com was hands down the best price for mine. 4wheelparts tried to match them, and Discount came back lowballing them by a mile. (and went ahead and included mounting and balancing for me)
The only thing I can't decide on is what to do for a spare. I'm thinking a used 35" tire under the truck, just to be able to limp to tire store. But I may do an in-bed set-up of sorts with another 37" MTR.... hmm, may start a new thread about in-bed mounts...

At a cool grand for a tire gate, I may buy one of your tires off you for a spare
. Get the 37's, you'll love them. Has Sean released the VR coils yet by the way? (not trying to hijack the thread)
