35s and 4" or 6"?

I have a set of 315-70-17 MT MTZs on 17X9 Eagle 102 in the gargae, and I am ordering a lift. My question is will 35s look ok on a 6" lift or will a 4" look better? I thought that I may get a 4" now, then go to a 6" and 37s later, but if the 35s and 6" will not look to dumb I will just do the 6" now and the 37s when I need tires again.

4" would look good

Since I think mine looks good with 315s and NO lift, I would think 4" would be the most you'd want to go. I had a 81 Jimmy a long time ago that had a 6" with 38s when I bought it and I put 35s on it and it looked ok, but it's a lot squarer of a truck. I think a pickup with 6" would need 37s or 38s to look good.

4" w/35's would look good..

35's w/ 4" is right on, and you can always stuff 37's later just as long as you use the proper size rim. :)

My bfg 315 a/t only measure 33.5"

I would first find out the backspacing to see if they even fit with a 4" and 35's

I know this isn't a 3rd gen but it's a 6" lift with 35's. 35's fit on 3rd gens with a leveling kit (which is what I'm doing with mine). I though this pic looked kind of funny but I couldn't afford another set of 39.5's.

You should look up the pics from Boz007 on this board. He has a 4.5" lift with 37's and it looks great. I run 35's with 2" spacers and 2" blocks and it looks great.

my truck on 35s with a 2" front lift

me think 35s on a 4" is a bit to much. but like otheres said, make sure on the backspacing. It will make or break the lift height.

This is not my truck. But it does have a 6" lift and 35's and to me, it doesnt look to bad.
