37's with a 4.5" lift. My wheels are similar to yours in width and backspacing and i get no rubbing at all.

I think that 37s and 40s fit the 3rd gens perfectly (with 18s & 20s, and 20s & 22s respectively)

I plan to move to a 37x13.5 with an 18" wheel when these where out. Maybe sooner, not sure.

That will look really nice. I think your truck can pull of the 17" wheel because of the color (don't ask me why that matters it just seems to make a difference! ). I think that your color and silver can. It seems like other trucks NEED at least an 18 to pull of the 37s.

The Toyos are great in bad weather, second only to the Mud Grapplers in my opinion. Tire wear really depends on how you drive, how inflated they are, how much you tow, etc etc. I would say atleast 25,000 on average.

Is it just that they will rub on the front air dam? I am already ready to cut and trim or even remove it if need be. Also will it rub on "hard parts" ie. control arms, etc? Thanks for all the input this is making me feel much more comfortable with laying out a bunch of $$$

fun post, just thought I would add a couple commnets.

you should have less rubbing issues with the 12.5 vs the 13.5. I had some sway bar contact with 12.5s and stock wheels. Changed out to a different backspacing, resolved that issue. 13.5s would of been ~1/2 worse turning radius.

toyo mt vs bfg mt vs mtr. I have them all on same and different rigs and have not noticed that much diference in road noise or wear. Time will tell and wanted to try them all. Currentley I have Toyo and BFG on the rigs. The new MTs are not what the MTs of yesteryear were. They are all good.

Just go with the 37, forget the 35 stuff, that is so last year. Think you already made this decision.

35s you can run stock with little control arm rub. I put the 37s on with 3" front lift, then some fender triming.

That wasn't hard; just put 'em on! THey are 37x10.5" so I have clearance. My 41s are 11.5" wide so they clear with just 4" of lift in the front, 2" in the rear and moving the front axle forward 1" and having the road armor bumpers.

You gotta go 37s though! None of this 35" stuff!
