Real real close w/ injectors, but the 325 is still a little stronger in my experience.

As of today a (04.5+ "600" "325") will make about 40-80 hp more sometimes more.

Mainly because of electronic limitations of the 03-04.

Hopefully Marco will be able to level the playing field a bit with the new 230hp tune, but im guessing the 04.5+ will make even more!!!!

It seem's the common cure for 03-04 is dual cp3's

I don't understand your post, on one hand you say electronics limit the 03-04s, then you say dual CP3s even the playing field??? WOuldn't this mean the CP3 is the weak link? I haven't seen 40-80hp gains just because of the 305 vs 325, I'd expect 15-40hp maybe.

From my '03, best day ever-

Yup, that's right. Weather was ideal. Correction was .95 IIRC.

This was with a TST/Triple Dog stack, AFE Stage I with Torque Tube, II SPS66, Banks Technicooler, Banks 4" turbo-back exhaust, FASS 150, 3250# SB DD, and 35" Toyos. 5th gear. Wish it could have been sixth...

By the way, stock CP3 and injectors!

The 305 cylinder head and the late 325 cylinder head are NOT the same. The 325has larger ports than the 305 head. Not only larger, but a better and higher flowing port design as well.

The valves of the 04.5 and up on the exhaust side are cobalt alloy. The 305 heads do not have them.

After seeing Tims 305 engine make 790 HP yesterday on Diesel I am confident the 305 is going to be right up there with the rest very soon. Adding to Tims is Rebs 1290 HP with his 03 ( 250 HP ) California truck. LOL

Port flow between the 305 and 325 heads is quite a bit better.

Did you have a hard time building boost is that why you say "Wish it could have been sixth"?

Haha I knew I should of stated that even with duals you wont be equal, but will have more then most single pumped 04.5+ guys and maybe win a few dyno days.

Nice HP #s, highest I've seen yet w/o injectors, but the TQ looks low. Mine went 492/1077 on a Dynojet. Maybe my TQ was off.

I really think injectors/inj events are the biggest factor, not to mention you can't put the same injectors on both models. Head flow shouldn't mean alot of HP in these cases.

Guys with twins can't even really spool well on that dyno, so yeah, I think boost could have been higher. If you look at the graph, it's all top-end.

I did another dyno on a superflow, and the graph looked a lot better. Torque was basically a straight line from 1800rpm up IIRC. Overall numbers were lower, but the graph looked a lot better. Had I had some time on the dyno to tune in better I would have broken 500...

I like load dynos because they can show you what the truck does on the street. Everyone across the country can compare numbers, given that the runs are on the same model Dynojet.

I like inertia dynos because a 5000# roller is the same whether in California, Virginia, Florida or Maine. Load dynos leave a lot up to the operator which can skew results...

I'm guessing this engine doesn't have a CP3 anymore?

289/496 with nothing other than straight pipe, BHAF, torque tube, no electronic mods at all.
