285/75r18 Toyo

I am wanting to mount 285/75r18 on XD SPY 18x9's. I see them in either -12 or +18 offset. Which one should i use? Will either one fit on a stock height truck?

thanks in advance.

+18 is what you will want, unless you like them sticking out way far. +18 offset is around 5.7" backspacing, which means they will stick out a little bit further than stock but not too far. -12 offset is something like 4.5" backspacing, they will stick way out there.

Thanks Bronco

Now that I know I need +18 will there be any rubbing issues with a 285/75R18Toyo AT?

Not yet, but I have a plan for some pocket flares in the near future. Will the +18 stick out very far? Anyone have pics of this setup?

They should stick out an inch or so more than stock. Whether or not you need fender flares is a personal opinion matter.

Thanks again man. I really like the look of the pocket flares, but that will probably have to wait until the next purchase. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to rock the side of my truck really bad.

I tried to post some pics of my truck with 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country AT's.

The site says the files are too large, and I cannot/do not know how to resize.

You can find my pictures on TDR, under a post "tall thin tires please", or give me your email and I will send them to you.

I have them mounted on 18 x 9.5 American Eagles with 5 1/2" back spacing. I also have a 4.5" lift, I believe they may rub on an unlifted truck.

Jess

EDIT:I was able to use a pic in my avatar, kinda hard to see. The 2" flares stand out a hair farther than the tires, just enough to keep the crud off the side of the truck.
