Did you get the trusty "PLASTIC INTERCOOLER" too?? i have it in my 05 and am hoping it blows so dodge will cover it under warranty. if you have a stock tranny, the guys here say 90 to 100 hp over stock will be pushing the limit. hope some of the guys with chips or programmers will chime in...

The first three things I did to my truck were intake, exhaust and and Edge Juice w/ Attitude. I could slip the tranny on level 3. It wouldn't have lasted very long if I kept it on 5. Thats 100 HP and 180 TQ I think.

You better find a "mod friendly" dealer. They will know about the downloader. You could end up getting that truck black-balled and void the warranty.

Sounds like you might owe your old man a new transmission.

ats told me that their tourqe converter would fix the problems. i had the bullydog set on crazy larry with the tourqe management on and wated my tranny. i tore out 1st 2nd and 3rd on an automatic and shredded my tourqe converter. i was drag racing

You need an upgraded valve body and torque converter at the very least to handle that power reliably unless you really baby it.

Well for big horsepower and lots of abuse like heavy towing , drag racing, or sled pulling you'll need billet stuff or you'll start breaking stock parts. Billet shafts and flexplate. (Gets really expensive really fast.)

My trans. is still holding on after 100+ quarter mile passes with all kinds of box and programer stacks. Its all about finess. LOL J/k. I would recomend going through the whole trans. with new bans and clutches, aftermarket valve body and converter and at least and billet input and aftermarket flexplate. If not when the performance bug hits which looks like you have the begining symptoms you dont want to have to go back and fix something you broke b/c you werent happy with the little mods you had and decided to add more. Plus why pay labor twice imo do it right the first time and dont look back.
