hey team have a cousin with an 03. He has been experiencing mild surging for quite sometime. The surging is at hwy speeds. When cruise is used it gets real bad, up and down.
The problem was happening before he did his lp and sticks.

I have read some threads about the FCA but think otherwise.

His truck 2003 CTD auto, BD lift pump, BD injectors, BD tranny, Bullydog triple dog.

lol surging. when mine idles people look at me funny because its idling erratic and surging but always has now and then. at idle

 

Mine does the same thing! But it's my VA. Have him go back to stock (programmer that is) and see what happens.

 

Mine has been doing the same thing, I got ahold of some bad fuel which caused it, I ran some power service in the white bottle through it and tapped the fca a few times with a screw driver and the problem went away. My truck was not only surging it had a rough idle to it. Hope this helps but id guess the FCA is bad.
